Skopje, 10 November 2017 (MIA) - Macedonia is moving in the right direction in political terms, said Argentinean Ambassador Alberto Alfredo Manuel Trueba at Friday's meeting with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, saluting the Government's efforts to secure a higher living standard for citizens.

Zaev and Trueba agreed that both countries share the same values of better life for citizens, new jobs, economic development and development of international cooperation, the Government said in a press release.

Interlocutors voiced commitment for intensification of cooperation in many areas, primarily in the political and economic field.

Ambassador Trueba also met with Parliament Speaker Talax Xhaferi, focusing on the establishment of parliamentary cooperation, which can open the path for collaboration among other institutions in both countries.

Xhaferi said that the establishment of an MP group for cooperation with countries of Latin America and the Caribbean has confirmed Macedonia's interest for enhancement of parliamentary diplomacy with countries in the region, the Speaker's Office said in a press release.

Ambassador Trueba told Speaker Xhaferi that Argentina considers Macedonia a friendly country and shows interest for development of closer relations in numerous fields.

Referring to exports and investments as priorities of Argentina's economy, Trueba said other areas of interest would be identified in the future. ik/14:17
