Skopje, 11 November 2017 (MIA) - Macedonia and Kosovo share the same goal - EU accession and they should support each other in that process through a continuous, open and constructive dialogue, Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani said Saturday at the meeting with Kosovo's Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha.
In that regard, Osmani offered the experience and knowledge that Macedonia gained in the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, with direct cooperation and expert assistance, emphasizing that Macedonia will give full support to Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic aspirations, Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Osmani and Hoxha welcomed the initiative to hold a joint session of the governments of both countries, within the framework of the established institutional mechanisms with the signed Cooperation Agreement for EU integration affairs. They also discussed joint projects under the Berlin Process as well as the possible establishing common customs.
Osmani confirmed that the implementation of the strategic project within the IPA Cross-border Cooperation at the Belanovce-Stancic border crossing linking was ongoing, and underlined that he would do everything within his competencies for the timely completion of all procedures, urging for a commitment from the Kosovo side as well, Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release. sk/15:15
