Skopje, 2 February 2018 (MIA) - Opposition VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and Hungarian Prime Minister and leader of ruling Fidesz party Viktor Orban.
At the meeting, Mickoski and Orban expressed satisfaction with the excellent cooperation between their parties, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.
Orban on his part affirmed his support of Macedonia's bid to join the Euro-Atlantic organizations, with Mickoski saying that although an opposition party VMRO-DPMNE would keep nourishing its contacts and friendships for promoting, speeding up the country's processes for joining the EU and NATO.
Mickoski also briefed Orban about the political developments in Macedonia, saying that the government was exerting political pressure on the different-minded.
Macedonia's economy has been deteriorating, which is also the case in the sphere of democracy - completely devastated system of the rule of law as the main pillar of a healthy society, Mickoski said.
The two also shared opinions on freedom of media, which are 'under pressure due to their critical observation of the government's policies', the press release reads. lk/20:02
