President Ivanov receives credentials of new Slovak, Moroccan ambassadors

Skopje, 31 October 2013 (MIA) - President Gjorge Ivanov received Thursday the credentials by the new ambassadors of the Slovak Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Macedonia.

President Ivanov wished the first resident ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Macedonia Martin Bezak success in his work, expecting that friendly relations would enhance, both in political and economic terms, the President's Cabinet said in a press release.

"I would like to thank Slovakia for its support, especially with regards to Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The enormous progress of the Slovak Republic, as well as the rest of Central European states over the past two decades, will continue to serve as inspiration for the Republic of Macedonia, in the building of a prosperous state and its Euro-Atlantic integration", said President Ivanov.

Ambassador Bezak said he would do everything in his power to enhance bilateral friendly relations, in the common interest of the countries' citizens.

At the meeting with new ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Macedonia, Latifa Akharbache, President Ivanov voiced expectation that the successful political dialogue would continue, whereas mutual relations would develop.

"There is potential for enhancement of bilateral cooperation in all sectors of mutual interest, especially in the field of economy and trade. Therefore, the legal framework needs to strengthen and harmonized agreements will be signed soon", said Ivanov.

Ambassador Akharbache expressed belief in Macedonia's European perspective, saying the country's integration would open new horizons in bilateral relations, reads the press release. ik/15:07
