Skopje, 17 February 2017 (MIA) - A World Bank project implemented through the Education and Science Ministry is helping 10 high schools provide on the job training for their students in various companies. Education Minister Spiro Ristovski was in the Energo System company on Friday, which is working with the Partenie Zografski high school for children with hearing impairments, to allow them training in installation of heating and cooling systems.

"So far we have awarded ten grants of between 5.000 and 20.000 EUR that help schools and companies begin training courses. Besides learning the theory of the job, students will directly involved in the companies, in the production process. We continue to reform the trades high schools in this direction, considering that one of the main challenges we face is the gap between trained work force and the needs of domestic and foreign companies that operate in Macedonia", Ristovski said of the program that was inspired by similar programs in Germany and Austria.

Twenty five students from Partenie Zografski are already attending training in Energo System, in a specially prepared classroom. Company director Zoran Kondratenko said that this classroom will remain available to this and other schools in the future.cc/15:01
