Skopje, 14 February 2018 (MIA) - Info event on public procurement reform will be held Wednesday in the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
The event will include presentation of public procurement reform, followed by a discussion of representatives of the competent institutions with the business community on their proposals for the draft text of the new law on public procurement.
The event is part of USAID Partnership for Better Business Regulations project implemented by EPI CENTER International in coordination with economic chambers in the country and in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Public Procurement Bureau.
Finance Minister Dragan Tevdovski, Director of the General Development Office in USAID Macedonia Edward Gonzalez, expert of EU public procurement directives Marian Lemke from SIGMA and public procurement expert Aneta Daneva Mostrova are to deliver addresses.
The new draft law on public procurement foresees significant changes aimed at overcoming the identified weaknesses in the public procurement system, harmonisation of law according to EC recommendations and improving transparency. sk/09:00
