“The first official meeting this year between KFOR delegation and ARM General Staff was focused on security situation in the region, the current situation with migration crisis and potential alternative route of movement, cooperation with KFOR in regard to current security risks and terrorist threats,” reads the press release.

KFOR delegation was briefed about ARM activities related to the current situation of the migration crisis at the southern border and possibility of using Krivolak military ground for training and exercises of KFOR mission staff.

KFOR Commander informed ARM General Staff about security situation in Kosovo, situation of migrant routes throughout Kosovo and other KFOR activities.

Velickovski and Cuoci highlighted that excellent cooperation between ARM and KFOR and presence of the mission are of great importance for the security and stability of entire region.

Moreover, KFOR delegation during the day will visit the Interior Ministry.

The Republic of Macedonia, within the KFOR mission, has been providing constant logistic support to NATO since the beginning of the mission. Since June 2007, the Host Nation Support Coordination Center, which is part of the Logistics Support Brigade of ARM, has been in operational readiness. The aim of this center is coordination with KFOR for customs and border procedures regarding transportation and movement, as well as other KFOR logistic needs, and thus ARM indirectly takes part in the mission. sk/12:46
