SEHA: Vardar beats Zagreb to maintain unbeaten record

Zagreb, 28 February 2018 (MIA) - European Champions Vardar scored another win in the regional SEHA handball league after narrowly beating PPD Zagreb 25:24 late on Tuesday.

Igor Karacic scored the winning goal in the final minute, while goalkeeper Strahinja Milic saved the hosts' final shot.

Luka Cindric and Timur Dibirov scored five goals each, while Milic recorded 13 saves.

Macedonia's other representative Metalurg lost 37:25 away to Slovenia's Gorenje Velenje.

SEHA standings: Vardar - 43 points (15 matches), Zagreb - 31 (15), Meshkov Brest - 31 (15), Celje - 26 (14), Gorenje Velenje - 24 (15), Presov - 17 (14), Metalurg - 16 (15), Nexe - 8 (14), Dinamo - 8 (14) and Vojvodina - 6 (15). ik/08:55
