Madrid, 12 October 2018 (MIA) - The Turkish Airlines Euroleague 2018-2019 season got underway Thursday with four matches.
Reigning Euroleague champions, Real Madrid, defeated Darussafaka Tekfen 109-93 at home at the Wizink Center.
Turkey's Anadolu Efes beat Germany's Bayern Munich 90-71 at the Audi Dome in Munich.
A total of 16 teams are competing this season -- four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian, two Greek and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro.
The Round 1 matches are as follows:
