Skopje, 13 October 2018 (MIA) – The Special Public Prosecution (SPO) for prosecuting criminal offences related to and arising from the content of the illegally intercepted communications has launched a new investigation, codenamed ‘Post Bank’.
It is a financial investigation, within which three of the nine suspects have been already taken before a preliminary procedure judge at the Basic Court Skopje 1, SPO said in a press release on Saturday.
The investigation covers several criminal acts – money laundering and other unlawful property gain under the Article 273 of the Criminal Code.
Nine people - Kole Smilevski, Tome Glavchev, Ratko Dimitrovski, Vickica Popovski, Gkeorgi Karatolis, Kiril Janevski, Zoranco Mitrovski, Risto Milev and Zlatko Gjorcev - are under suspicion of committing criminal activities in the period of 2001-2010, which secured them an unlawful gain of EUR five million. lk/12:32
