Domestic food company to invest EUR 1,5 million in new facility

Skopje, 15 September 2018 (MIA) - Domestic company Industry Service launched Saturday an investment of about EUR 1,5 million, opening 100 jobs, in Skopje settlement Madzari.

Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Koco Angjusev, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, Skopje Mayor Petre Silegov and Gazi Baba Mayor Boris Georgievski attended the event.

Vice Premier Angjusev said the investment of the company specialized in food production for large industrial capacities is another proof of the industrialization process in Macedonia.

He said companies such as Industry Service are very important for the industry, because International Labor Organization data shows that companies having organized nutrition process increase their productivity by even 20 percent.

"This is a family company that has developed over the years. Industry in many countries is based on family companies. In Germany, 70 percent of companies are family ones, having a long tradition and developing through smart management," stressed Angjusev.

Gazi Baba Mayor Georgievski said the company would focus on domestic and foreign companies operating in the country and having over 300 employees.

"Gazi Baba will continue to support all investors, which have a direct effect on the municipality's development and lowering of the unemployment rate," said Georgievski.

Industry Service owner Dragan Smilkovski said the company is cooperating with large industrial capacities, producing about 9,000 meals on a daily basis, whereas production will double with the new facility. ik/14:33
